There are certain video practice activities that require manual scoring and/or feedback.

The course you teach may have interactive video scenarios. These may be “practice” activities that only require your feedback, or they may be assessment activities that require you to score the learner’s video submission.

Assessment - Scoring Required

1. When a learner submits an assessment video, you will receive an email notification. Read the instructions in the video and then click the Open Scorebook button.

2. The activity scorebook loads in your default browser. (We recommend using Chrome). Select the Status filter. Then select the Needs Evaluation option.

3. The learner’s entry is displayed. Click anywhere in the entry.

4. Scoring and feedback tools for the learner’s video are displayed. Click Play to view the learner’s video.

5. Use the feedback area to provide comments on the learner’s performance. Simply type your feedback in the comment field and then click Submit

Your comments will appear in the feedback area, along with a timestamp. (If the learner clicks the timestamp, the video will “jump” to that point so the learner can see exactly where the comment applies.)

NOTE: You can also submit video feedback (a webcam recording of yourself) by clicking the +video icon next to the comment field.

6. After you are finished adding feedback, click the drop arrow in the Score panel.

7. Follow the on-screen prompts to select a score for the learner’s video.

NOTE: Activities may be scored as pass/fail, percentage, or using a rubric.

8. Click Save and Publish

9. The learner’s entry status updates to “Published” and shows the scoring result.

Practice - Feedback Only

1. Practice video activities are usually set to “Auto Pass,” automatically giving the learner credit when they submit their video. In this case, you will not receive an email notification – so it’s best to periodically check the scorebook.

From the My Learning screen, click Composer at the top of the screen.

2. Click the Skills option in the side menu. The ‘Courses/Skills’ page opens. Select the context menu for the skill that has the practice activity.

3. Select the Edit Collaboration option.

4. A video activity list displays. Click the context menu for the activity scorebook you want to view.

5. Select the Overview option

6. The activity scorebook loads. Select the Status filter. Then select the Published option.

7. The learner’s entry is displayed. Click anywhere in the entry.

8. Feedback tools for the learner’s video are displayed. Click Play to view the learner’s video.
